Terms of Use

These terms and conditions of use are to be agreed upon by all customers (hereinafter referred to as "Users") whose children take lessons at bridgeyou (hereinafter referred to as "the School"). . Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the School. Since this school is intended for use by children, parents/guardians must agree to these Terms and Conditions before registering for the School.

[Cancellation Policy]

  • Please understand that no refund will be made for membership cancellations due to the user's personal circumstances after services commence.

  • In the case of tardiness for the user's convenience on the day of the lesson, the instructor will leave the room if no one enters the room 15 minutes after the reserved time and date, unless prior notice is given.

  • Please check Article 3 (Membership Fee, etc.), Article 4 (Withdrawal), and Article 5 (Absence on the day of the lesson, withdrawal during the lesson, tardiness etc.) for details on membership fees, refund, withdrawal, absence etc. before registering.

Chapter 1 [General Provisions]

Article 1 (Application)

  • These Terms and Conditions apply as between the User and the School. Users may use this school only when they agree to all of the terms and conditions of this agreement. 2.

  • In the event that there are other materials distributed or presented to the user by the school, such as instructions or notes for each lesson, the information contained in these materials shall also constitute a part of these Terms of Use.

Article 2 (Registration)

 
  1. The user shall register for membership according to the membership and lesson type of their choice. When the school accepts the registration request, a contract for use of the School will be established between the user and the School.

  2. The school reserves the right to refuse membership to a prospective member in the event that any of the following circumstances apply. The School shall not be obliged to explain to the prospective member the reason for its refusal.

    1. In the event that all or part of the registration information provided to the School is false, erroneous, or omitted.

    2. In the event that the School deems that the applicant is an anti-social force, etc., or is involved in or interacting with anti-social forces, etc. in any way.

    3. If we deem that the applicant has violated a contract with us in the past, or is related to such a person.

    4. In any other cases where the school deems that enrollment is not appropriate.

  3. After enrollment, the school will arrange a meeting with the user (child or guardian) and arrange a suitable instructor for the child. The user acknowledges in advance that the arrangement of a teacher may not always be in accordance with the user's (child's or guardian's) request.

Article 3 (Fees, etc.)

  1. Upon successful membership registration as stipulated in the preceding article, the user will be able to use the school's services upon completion of membership fees and other prescribed fees (hereinafter referred to as "Membership Fee, etc.").

  2. After enrollment, the User shall pay the Membership Fee, etc. for classes in the the following month by the last day of each month, by the method designated by the School. For details, please refer to the fee schedule on our website.

  3. Membership fees are non-refundable (even for unattended classes) in the event of withdrawal, cancellation of registration, or in any other case.

 

Article 4 (Withdrawal)

If the user wishes to withdraw starting in August, they must give advance notice by July 20th. If the notice is received after July 20, the membership fee for August will be charged.

Article 5 (Absence on the day of the event, withdrawal during the event, tardiness, etc.)

  1. In the event that a user is absent on the day of a lesson, leaves during the lesson, or arrives late for any reason, the paid lesson fee will not be refunded. In addition, as a general rule, no make-up lessons will be provided, and the lesson will be cancelled. However, it is possible to complete the course by using the archived videos specified by the school.

  2. In the event that a user wishes to reschedule a lesson due to unavoidable circumstances, the user shall notify the school of such request by the day before the scheduled lesson date (hereinafter referred to as “rescheduling deadline”), and the school and the user shall work out the rescheduling schedule. However, in the following cases, the schedule may not be rescheduled.

    1. When a customer notifies us of a schedule change after the deadline for change

    2. In other cases when we deem it impossible to change the schedule. 

  3. If the User is late on the day of the lesson, the tutor will leave the room if the User does not enter the room 15 minutes after the reserved time and date, unless the User notifies the school in advance.

  4. In the event that a lesson is not held as scheduled due to the tutor, the school or the school's management, or other unavoidable reasons, alternative measures such as a rescheduled lesson will be taken as appropriate.

Chapter 2 [Rights and Obligations]

Article 6 (Attribution of Rights)

  1. Ownership and intellectual property rights (including copyrights to the content of lessons and other services provided by the school, the knowledge, educational know-how, and operational know-how possessed by the school and its instructors, and materials, information, videos, and other data related to these) belong to the school, and shall not be transferred to the user upon taking a lesson. Users may use such materials only to the extent permitted by the school.

  2. The User shall not do anything that infringes on the intellectual property rights of the School or any right holder for any reason.

  3. Users may not record, tape, photograph, or otherwise transfer data to any media without prior permission from the instructor.

 

Article 7 (Portrait, etc.)

  1. The school may record or photograph the content of the lesson (e.g., the student's progress during the lesson). We may use these videos and photos for the purpose of providing lessons, improving our services, research and development, etc.

  2. In the event that the school uses the videos, photos, etc. described in the preceding paragraph in a form or manner that identifies individuals (e.g., posting “customer testimonials” with the faces and names of users and their children on the school's website for sales promotion or to introduce the school's achievements, etc.), the school will use the videos, photos, etc. only for the purpose for which they were collected and for which the school has received permission from the individual concerned. ), the School may use such information only after notifying the individual in advance and obtaining his/her consent.

 

Article 8 (Non-guarantee, etc.)

  1. the school does not guarantee the following to the user. The User understands that there are individual differences in the results of the child's lessons and agrees to the following non-guarantees in advance.

    1. The User understands and agrees in advance that the skills and knowledge of the Child will reach the level of mastery requested by the User as a result of the use of the School.

    2. The use of the School will result in a certain level of success or beneficial opportunity, such as passing a specific audition or exam, etc.

    3. The video scoring, corrections, advice, etc. provided by the School are based solely on the professional knowledge of the instructor in charge, and are not a guarantee of social reputation, etc.

    4. Other conditions must be met for the specific purpose of the user.

  2. With respect to any damages incurred by a User in connection with the suspension, discontinuance, termination, or unavailability of the services provided by the School, unless the occurrence of such damages is due to reasons attributable to the School (including, but not limited to, any of the following cases), the School shall not be liable to compensate the User for such damages.

    1. Temporary interruption, suspension, termination, unavailability, or malfunction (including loss of data) of the system related to the relevant service

    2. or changes, etc.

    3. In the event that provision of the service is difficult due to natural disasters, power outages, communication failures, riots, civil commotions, wars, labor disputes, or other force majeure;

    4. in the event that the School deems it necessary to temporarily suspend provision of services due to other operational or technical reasons, or unforeseen circumstances; or in the event that the School terminates its business.

    5. In the event of termination of the School's business.

 

Article 9 (Precautions for Use)

The user shall be responsible for the health condition of the child while using the school. The school will not be responsible for any injuries during lessons due to lack of supervision or carelessness on the part of the user or the child.

Article 10 (Confidential Information)

Users shall properly manage the confidential information of the School (including business, technical, proprietary, and other materials and information related to the School's educational and operational know-how, including the content of the School's operations, as well as personal information of the School's instructors) that they receive or learn in the course of using the School, and shall not disclose or divulge such information to any third party without the prior consent of the School. You shall not disclose or divulge such information to any third party without the prior consent of the School. Nor shall you use such information for any purpose other than those authorized by the School.

 

chapter 3 [prohibited acts]

Article 11 (Prohibited Acts)

The following actions are prohibited in connection with the use of the school. Users are responsible for ensuring that their children do not engage in any of the following behaviors.

  1. Any behavior that interferes with the operation of the school, the progress of lessons, or causes inconvenience to other customers.

  2. Actions that infringe or may infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, patents, utility model rights, privacy rights, portrait rights, publicity rights, or other rights of other customers, our school, related parties, or third parties.

  3. Any act that defames, disgraces, or damages the reputation or credibility of other customers, the School, or related persons.

  4. Any act that violates public order and morals or other laws and regulations, any act that leads to a crime, or any act that solicits, aids, coerces, or encourages such acts.

  5. Using the School for the purpose of gathering information on other customers or related persons, or for the purpose of soliciting for organizations or activities unrelated to the School, such as religious or political activities.

  6. Infringing or threatening to infringe intellectual property rights or other rights such as copyrights and trademark rights to information, teaching materials, texts, documents, data, etc. provided by the School (including, but not limited to, copying, modifying, reproducing, quoting, posting on SNS or other media, publicly transmitting, making transmittable, uploading, selling, showing or broadcasting, recording, recording or filming without prior consent)

  7. Other acts that the School deems inappropriate. 2. The School reserves the right to determine, at its own discretion, whether or not any of the prohibited acts listed in the preceding paragraph applies.

Chapter 4 [Dissolution, etc.]

Article 12 (Discharge, etc.)

  1. The school reserves the right to terminate the contract and withdraw the user's membership without prior notice or demand in the event that any of the following events occur

    1. If any of the provisions of this agreement is violated and the violation is not corrected after a reasonable period of notice.

    2. In the event of violation of the following Article (Anti-Social Forces, etc.)

    3. In the event that the User does not follow the instructions or policies of the School without justifiable reason.

  2. In the event that any unpaid membership fee remains at the time of cancellation in accordance with the preceding paragraph, the User shall immediately pay all remaining fees.

Article 13 (Anti-social forces, etc.)

Users shall guarantee that they do not fall under any of the following items and pledge that they will not fall under any of the following items in the future.

  1. Being an Anti-Social Forces, etc. or a person for whom 5 years have not passed since he/she ceased to be an Anti-Social Forces, etc.

  2. Providing funds or other benefits to Anti-Social Forces, etc.

  3. Using violent, fraudulent, or threatening language by themselves or through the use of a third party.

Article 14 (Compensation for Damages)

The User shall be responsible for compensating the School for any damage caused by the User.

Chapter 5 [Miscellaneous Provisions]

Article 15 (Assignment, etc.)

The User shall not assign or lend his/her position as a user of the School or his/her rights or obligations under these Terms of Use to a third party, or offer them as collateral, without prior consent.

Article 16 (Agreements)

Any matter not stipulated in these Terms and Conditions or any provision that may raise questions of interpretation shall be resolved through good-faith consultation between the parties.

Article 17 (Consensual jurisdiction)

In the event of disputes regarding the use of the School, the district court with jurisdiction over the location of this School shall be the exclusive court of first instance.

Article 18 (Effective Period)

The Terms of Use shall remain in effect from the date of the user's admission until the date of withdrawal from the membership.

Article 19 (Survival Clause)

Even after withdrawal from the membership, Article 6 (Attribution of Rights), Article 7 (Portrait, etc.), Article 8 (Non-warranty, etc.), Article 10 (Confidential Information), Article 11 (Prohibited Acts), Article 13 (Antisocial Forces, etc.), Article 14 (Compensation for Damages), Article 17 (Agreed Jurisdiction) and this Article (Surviving Terms) shall continue in effect.
